What you type into the calculators

The times, hours and pay rates you enter are processed only in your browser. They aren't sent to Calcowa's servers, and we don't store them. Downloads like the CSV file are created on your device, too.

Usage statistics

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit each page and where they come from. It uses cookies and receives things like your browser type and country, but it doesn't receive the values you type into a calculator.

Advertising and third-party cookies

Calcowa shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of the DoubleClick cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads based on those visits.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of other vendors' cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.

Your choice: statistics cookies and personalised-ad cookies are only used as you choose in the cookie notice. Until you choose, Google Analytics runs without cookies and the ads aren't personalised. You can change your choice any time with the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. Your cookie and theme preferences stay in your browser until you clear the site's data.

Hosting

The site's served through Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. It doesn't see what you type into a calculator.

Your choices and rights

If you'd like to know what personal data we hold, or ask us to correct or delete it, email contact@calcowa.com. In practice that's very little: we don't run accounts and we don't collect names or emails unless you write to us.

Theme setting

If you switch on the dark theme, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so it's remembered next time. Your choice in the cookie notice is kept there too, so we don't ask again. Nothing else is kept there.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect, we'll update this page and the date at the top. We won't start collecting what you type into the calculators; that's not something we'd do quietly, and it isn't how the tools are built. If you've got questions, you're welcome to write to us.

You don't have to accept anything to use the calculators. They'll work with cookies blocked, and they'll work with ads blocked too; we'd just prefer you didn't, since that's what keeps the site free.
